Will this activate my blog?
I get to update finally! Sorry to all of my faithful followers for not giving up on me. Well, where do I begin? The good, the bad, or the blessings? I always choose bad news first so lets start with that. Well at work, I have been assigned to work every Sunday (aweful!). At the beginning of February I got my appendix out in emergency surgery (not fun not to mention the $12,000+ in medical bills since we have no insurance!!!). A few weeks later the engine in our Montero caught on fire coming down Spanish Fork Canyon ($3,000! Again, not covered by insurance). Those were the worst things.

This one is available on my video page as well. I thought they both deserved a post on the main page. What an incredible story! I hope to someday be like Dick Hoyt.
Check this out on my videos page as well. It deserves two posts. Sorry, there was no code to let you watch the video from here. It is worth watching over and over!

I am absolutely loving Body For Life. I think that it is for a couple of reasons. First is for the simplicity of the program. The workouts are fast, effective, and diverse to keep me interested. Also, the recipies are quick and easy to make and they really do taste good. The second reason is for the challenge and the deadline. Having registered for the 12 week Body For Life challenge as well as having registered for the Salem triathlon on May 30, I have something that I am working towards rather than just "getting in shape". My personal motivation is different with a goal. For those of you who are taking me up on my challenge you can add some motivation for yourself by setting a goal with a deadline such as a race, a competition, a hike, wear a bikini on a cruise (that would really motivate some!), etc. Set a goal with a deadline and for a little more motivation make it something that costs money to register for.
I want to let you all know that am entering a different triathlon. This one is called the Salem Spring Triathlon. It will be on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The distance will be an 800 meter swim, 14 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. I would love for you all to join me. The links for registration and race information are below and I have also included a link for a training program specific to triathlons. The whole beginnertriathlete.com website is great and has a lot of useful information. There is also a link for several other races for this year if you want a little more preparation time or you can't make that date. The registration for this race is only $50 for the first 200 entries and then the price will go up. Hurry and get registered. That will be a good way to make the commitment. There are 135 days from today until race day. Get ready!! See you at the races!
